A growing specialist contractor in the light gauge steel sector is looking for an experienced Estimator to join their team in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to exciting offsite and modular construction projects within a supportive and expanding business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for light gauge steel and steel framing system projects.

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive tenders.

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and build up pricing.

• Prepare and submit tender documents in a timely and professional manner.

• Attend pre- and post-tender meetings as required.

• Work closely with design, pre-construction, and commercial teams to ensure estimates align with technical requirements and client expectations.

• Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options during the estimating process.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within structural or light gauge steel construction.

• Strong understanding of light gauge steel systems, modular/offsite construction methods, and associated costs.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

• Excellent numerical, analytical, and commercial skills.

• Proficient in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office.

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
