Senior Estimator - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyYou will be working for a Civil Engineering contractor based in South Midlands. The company work on major highways schemes and have a presence up and down the country. With project values ranging between £5,000 - £2million. Due to expansion they are now looking to onboard a senior estimator.

Your new roleYou will be responsible for, but not limited to, preparing estimates and tender submissions in line with tender enquiries and company procedures, obtaining/agreeing suitable material prices and hired plant rates for inclusion within the tenders, liaising with clients and the contracts department as well as maintaining good relationships with all parties and disseminating all necessary information promptly.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you will be confident estimating from first principles and have understanding of Quantity Surveying. In addition, you will also understand the process of getting a project priced up, cost plans and understand the timings to get each process followed through. Finally, you will be an effective team player and communicator.
