Job Title: Senior Estimator - Fit Out & Refurb

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Radcliffe (between Manchester & Bolton)

Introduction:

My client is currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Estimator to join the team. As a Senior Estimator specialising in fit out and refurbishment projects, you will play a critical role in the continued success and growth. If you have a proven track record in accurately estimating costs for fit out and refurbishment projects and possess exceptional analytical skills, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive estimations for fit out and refurbishment projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimating.
• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements and scope.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
• Review and assess project risks and opportunities to provide realistic cost estimations.
• Present cost estimates to senior management and participate in bid reviews and negotiations.
• Monitor and track project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project, identifying any deviations from the initial estimates.
• Provide support and guidance to junior estimators and other team members as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator, with a focus on fit out and refurbishment projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex project documentation.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field are preferred.
