Senior Estates Valuation Surveyor - Reed : Job Details

We are looking for a Senior Valuation Surveyor to join our client's Asset Strategy, Valuation, and Commercial Real Estate Teams. This role is integral to delivering valuation and estate asset management services. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to encouraging business growth, job creation, and the development of our property investment fund, working with a diverse range of property types.

• Lead on managing the property portfolio, dealing with a complex range of property-related issues.
• Provide high-level professional advice on valuation matters, working with internal and external teams to identify investment opportunities.
• Make recommendations for development, disposal, and investment recovery to generate commercial returns.
• Prepare and monitor expenditure and income budgets, inspect land and buildings, and value various interests.
• Negotiate lettings, acquisitions, and disposals to ensure optimum returns.
• Support the management of the Estates function, attend decision-making boards, and deputise for the Service Manager as required.
• Supervise and manage staff, ensuring quality and quantity in their work.

• Experience in handling a complex range of property-related issues.
• Knowledge of ethical standards and relevant legislation around land transactions and council assets.
• Ability to identify new opportunities to enhance the council’s asset base.
• Skilled in preparing briefing notes and explaining complex issues to non-specialists.
• Professional membership of RICS (MRICS or FRICS).
