Senior Engineer - FMC Talent : Job Details

You’ll own the development of control-based systems, in both MATLAB and Simulink. You’ll bring a can-do attitude to get to the root of complex issues and innovate effective solutions. Often, you’ll assume a leading role in supporting the delivery of your own projects as well as those in collaboration with your colleagues.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering your own small projects
• Owning project design and verification
• Working in a fast-paced environment
• Maintaining a high level of industry expertise and competitive intelligence
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and customers at all levels
• Building close working relationships with your direct team

The requirements

You’ll bring 5+ years’ experience in developing control algorithms from scratch, as well as:

• Degree educated in Mechanical, Electrical or Control system Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in electrified propulsion systems, transmission and driveline, or powertrain testing
• Analytical approach with an aptitude for numerical tasks
• Knowledge of fundamental automotive engineering software tools
• Detailed understanding of industry market trends and competitor capabilities
• Excellent customer-facing skills and ability to maintain a strong personal impression
• Strong communication, articulation and presentation skills
• Able to translate complex information into simple messages
• Fluent in English and French/German/Japanese/Chinese is a plus
• Passionate about learning and facing new challenges
• Keen to develop personally and professionally
• Flexible and willing to travel
