Senior Electrical EngineerLocation: Hybrid (Basingstoke, UK)Contract: Inside IR35Sector: Energy | Onshore Gas | FEED ProjectsAbout the RoleWe're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a high-performing project team in Basingstoke, supporting a fast-paced FEED engineering initiative for a project in Africa. This is a technically demanding role with real-world impact, offering the chance to shape energy infrastructure in a critical region.You'll be instrumental in verifying feasibility studies, developing FEED deliverables, and supporting both cost estimation and electrical leadership. If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and bring deep expertise in electrical systems for the energy sector - we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities* Conduct site surveys and validate feasibility study outcomes* Prepare FEED documentation and ITT Scope of Work* Collaborate with the Cost Estimating Team to ensure accurate inputs* Provide technical support to the Electrical Lead across project phasesQualifications & ExperienceEssential* Extensive experience in technical and team leadership within energy sector projects* Strong background in Concept, FEED, and/or Detailed Engineering for onshore facilities* Expertise in power distribution design, equipment specifications, substation/switch room layouts, and electrical surveys for O&G plants* Skilled in reviewing and updating power system studies and models* Fully conversant with IEC standards and industry best practicesDesirable* Experience in solar power generation system design for gathering networks* Familiarity with brownfield onshore design challengesWhy Join?* Work on a high-impact international energy project* Hybrid working model for flexibility and balance* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts* Competitive contract terms within IR35
