Senior Electrical Engineer - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Recruitment Group are working alongside a heavy engineering company to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their facility in Sheffield.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Electrical Engineer will have overall responsibility for electrical equipment, maintenance strategies and personnel.

Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Engineer will include:

• Plan and manage engineering budgets and maintenance expenditure
• To set team targets and objectives, developing and changing engineering practices
• Implement and control engineering safe working practices
• Ensure all engineering plant failures are fully investigated and actions implemented to ensure future prevention
• Develop electrical engineering and maintenance standards within the function
• Lead, participate in and support continuous improvement groups
• Ensure that electrical engineering activities comply with internal and external Health, Safety and Environmental regulatory requirements
• Manage, appraise, motivate, select, and develop staff within the area of control

We would like to speak with Senior Electrical Engineer with the following:

• Degree Qualified or have proven electrical experience in a heavy engineering environment
• Driven to work in a demanding and challenging environment
• Demonstrable awareness of Heavy Engineering
• An excellent motivated leader and communicator
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Sound knowledge of the health and safety and environmental policies and plans
