Interim Senior Development Surveyor

Location: East Midlands

Contract: 6-months ongoing

Day rate: Circa £400-450 per day

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced Senior Development Surveyor to play a key role in delivering development, disposal, and valuation activities for a defined portfolio of assets and projects. This interim role will support ongoing asset review and rationalisation work, progressing disposals from inception to completion, and contributing to the annual asset valuation programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake development, disposal, and valuation activities across a portfolio of assets and projects.

• Support the delivery of corporate asset management priorities, providing professional property advice across the organisation.

• Drive disposals, acquisitions, and regeneration activity to maximise the performance of the property portfolio.

• Identify revenue and capital generation opportunities, particularly through ongoing review of the commercial portfolio.

• Support delivery of the annual asset valuation programme and commission ad-hoc valuations.

• Prepare clear and concise reports and business cases for senior managers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• MRICS qualified with post-qualification experience at a senior level.

• Proven experience delivering multi-disciplinary property projects, including asset valuations, development, and disposals.

• Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to provide professional property advice.

• Experience of budget and financial target management.

• Ability to analyse property issues, recommend solutions, and implement actions effectively.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.

• Experience working within local authority, public sector, or similar complex environments.
