Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain tools, materials, and equipment for design and technology lessons
• Provide technical support to teaching staff and students during practical sessions
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery and workshop tools
• Assist in the development of prototypes, models, and teaching resources
• Monitor inventory and manage procurement of materials and supplies
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, conducting regular risk assessments
• Offer guidance and training to junior technicians and support staff
• Contribute to curriculum planning and the implementation of new technologies or systems

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in a technical or workshop-based role, ideally within education or design industries
• Strong knowledge of design processes, tools, and materials (woodworking, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and lead on technical initiatives
• Commitment to health and safety and high standards of workshop practice
