£90,000 to 100,000 GBPBonusRemote WORKINGType: Permanent Senior Cyber Security ArchitectSalary: £90,000 - £120,000 + Bonus Location: Remote-first (UK-wide) No sponsorship available We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Architect to join a leading consultancy delivering large-scale transformation programmes across the UK. You will play a critical role in shaping and embedding security into modern platforms for clients in sectors such as public sector, healthcare, and defence. This role is remote-first, but you must be UK-based and able to work in secure environments when required. The RoleAs a Senior Cyber Security Architect, you will:
  • Lead the secure design and delivery of new cloud services and solutions.
  • Identify and address security issues in existing systems, recommending balanced, cost-effective mitigations.
  • Embed good security practices throughout the software development lifecycle, working with Agile delivery teams.
  • Apply strong expertise in Application Security and Cloud Security (AWS/Azure).
  • Coach, mentor, and support junior team members, while providing technical leadership to multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Educate clients and stakeholders on security best practices and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Essential Experience
  • Proven background in Application Security and Cloud Security.
  • Strong consulting background, ideally working on complex projects in the public sector, healthcare, or defence.
  • Experience applying security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO, OWASP, PKI, TLS.
  • Knowledge of network security (TCP/IP, OSI), web application security, and cryptographic controls.
  • Strong communication skills - able to translate complex security issues for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Security, CI/CD, and security testing tools.
Desirable
  • Identity management and access control expertise.
  • Experience across governance, risk, compliance, and operational security.
  • Relevant certifications (OSCP, CREST, TIGER, CISSP, etc.).
  • Experience leading teams of security engineers or architects.
