Senior Control Systems EngineerBedfordshire£50k-£60k (dep on exp) + bonus and benefits12-month FTC / Perm A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join a well-established engineering R&D company based in Bedfordshire. The company is focussing on developing brand-new disruptive technology to help revolutionise high precision engineering industries such as Aerospace, Space, Defence, Automotive and more!We are looking for an experienced Controls Systems Engineer who will work across a wide variety of projects including those addressing plant and equipment repair and refurbishment, component selection, process improvement, and new equipment, across a broad range of industrial plant, machinery and test equipment.  This would suit an experienced Senior Controls Systems Engineer who can introduce new systems and technologies into the facility. You will get the opportunity to develop design solutions and implement these through formally controlled processes for the full life cycle.  This will include capture of requirements, design definition, completion of design reviews, justification of design choices, recording of design details, acting as “owners’ engineer” for procurement and installation phases, and active participation in commissioning and test, and technical acceptance of the solution! This is truly and excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to utilise their full capability from concept through to installation to develop the facilities and their capability of serving global brands within a variety of industries! Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate will need to satisfy security clearance requirements – British passport including continual UK residency for the last 5 years. The Senior Controls Systems Engineer will ideally have the following skills/experience:  

• Qualified in Electrical or Controls Engineering or closely related subject.
• Recent and relevant experience within a Controls/E, C & I Engineering role
• Understanding of industrial machinery.
• Understanding of the application of formal design control and change procedures.
• Practical application of signal processing and filtering methods and a working knowledge of digital signal processing.
• Experience or a working knowledge of electrical circuit design software, such as SPICE, or implementation languages such as LabVIEW, PLC programming, Matlab etc. (other tools may be more appropriate)
