Job Description :
The CompanyNigel Wright Supply Chain and Procurement Team is delighted to be working with a key Client within the Engineering sector to recruit a Senior Contracts Manager for a minimum 2 year contract.The OpportunityWorking within a small Procurement team alongside other Contracts Managers, the Senior Contracts Manager will have full responsibility for a vast array of contracts and will:
  • Drive contract strategy - managing full Contracting lifecycle from project kick off to sourcing, supplier selection, tender management, response evaluation, contract negotiation and award
  • Develop and implement contract management plans - acting as a central Lead and facilitator collaborating with Site Management,  H&S, Technical and Project Engineering teams
  • Undertake detailed contractual analysis to ensure that all elements of scopes of work are covered, managing and mitigating risk, challenging variations etc
  • Ensure contractual compliance (Legal, H&S) and driving performance to KPIs - maintaining relevant documentation and ensuring full traceability
  • Deputise for the Department Manager as required
About YouThe successful Senior Contracts Manager will have/be:
  • Proven track record in Contract lifecycle management through to award
  • Forensic attention to detail and understanding of contractual terminology gained from within heavily regulated industry such as Engineering, Oil and Gas, Construction etc.
  • Procurement/Contract management experience related to FM, Opex, Capex beneficial
  • Proactive, able to work autonomously, managing a large volume of contracts and project workload
  • Analytical and organised, comfortable in following established process but equally forward thinking and confident to suggest process efficiencies and improvements 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills  – strong communicator – able to build relationships swiftly with ease and to collaborate cross functionally with multiple Departments
  • Proficient stakeholder engagement and supplier relationship management/negotiation skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Proficiency in SAP beneficial
  • MRICS, MCIPS or MCIOB - part/full qualification beneficial
