Senior Commercial Broker

Location: Henley-on-Thames

Salary: £45,000–£60,000 DOE

This specialist independent broker, based in Henley-on-Thames, has a strong reputation for servicing high-value and complex commercial clients across diverse sectors — from waste and rehabilitation to high net worth and lifestyle risks. With the leadership team at full capacity, they’re now looking for an experienced broker to step in and help shape the future of their commercial offering.

Role Summary:

You’ll support the Commercial Director in managing and growing the firm’s most complex and high-value clients — including accounts exceeding £100k premiums. With real exposure to technical broking and future scope to step into a senior leadership role, this is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience across complex placements, client ownership, and future succession planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Director on complex commercial accounts: gain exposure to high-value client work

• Handle renewals, MTA’s and placement: with ownership over end-to-end broking

• Build long-term client relationships: developing rapport virtually and in person

• Collaborate on cross-sector work: from waste schemes to HNW household and niche risks

• Grow into a leadership role: potential to step into senior responsibilities over time

Requirements:

• Strong experience in commercial insurance broking

• Confident handling larger or more complex accounts

• Comfortable working directly with clients and insurer partners

• Keen to develop technical skills and step into senior leadership

• Fully office based (Henley), Mon–Fri
