Do you want the responsibility and autonomy of an Account Executive role – but without sales targets or the corporate red tape?
Would you thrive managing £1m+ premium commercial accounts, with the freedom to build real client relationships?
And do you want to be part of a professional, close-knit team that knows how to work hard and enjoy themselves along the way?
If so, this could be your next move.
The Role
As a Senior Commercial Account Handler, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of significant commercial clients, many paying well in excess of £1m in premium.
You’ll:
- Act as the day-to-day contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships.
- Handle renewals, MTAs, and complex queries across a wide range of industries.
- Support Client Directors, ensuring a seamless service – from first meeting to renewal.
- Spot opportunities to add value through your business acumen (but without the pressure of sales targets).
- Use Acturis (desirable, but not essential).
- Meet clients face-to-face as often as you like – the role gives you the autonomy to manage relationships properly.
This is a service-first position, giving you the freedom to deliver top-class work while being backed by a people-focused business.
Why This Role?
- Autonomy without the sales grind – take ownership of major clients without chasing new business.
- Generous pay – open-ended for the right person; this firm rewards talent properly.
- Hybrid flexibility – office-based initially, then tailored around your personal needs (some team members only come in for meetings).
- Support for progression – whether you want to go further technically, take on leadership, or just be valued where you are, this firm has a history of rewarding ambition.
- Culture – a relaxed, professional team that mixes sharp client service with genuine laughs and regular socials.
What You’ll Bring
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Commercial Account Handler (more is welcome).
- Strong technical knowledge and confidence with complex risks.
- Ability to build rapport and manage relationships at a senior level.
- A collaborative, proactive approach – professionalism with personality.
- Ideally Acturis experience, but not essential.
The Package
- Salary: open for the right person – expect to be well rewarded.
- Full funding for CII qualifications.
- Free parking at the Leeds office.
- Regular socials on the company – they believe culture is built outside the office too.
This is a growth hire, not a replacement. Join a business that’s expanding, rewarding, and creating genuine opportunities for those who want them.
