We are currently at search on a new Senior Claims Adjuster - UK Property & Casualty for a leading London Market Insurer. This role will suit a regional or London based personal lines Senior Claims Adjuster or Lawyer who is looking to move into a growing and highly regarded London Market insurer.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical claims handling on UK Property, Motor & Casualty within agreed authority levels.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with MGA and TPAs.
- Monitor account performance through regular oversight and data analysis.
- Work closely with key stakeholders in the business, including the underwriters and actuaries in evaluating the business from the perspective of reserving and pricing.
- Provide claims management support to cedants and brokers.
- Pro-actively managing claims, setting appropriate reserves in line with reserving philosophy, and authorising payments within scope of authority.
- Utilising negotiation skills to develop complex settlement packages.
- Analysing claims activities, preparing and presenting reports for management.
Requirements
- Significant proven claims adjusting experience in UK Personal lines Claims (Property, Motor, Pet) preferably with a focus on Property.
- Working knowledge of relevant (re)insurance market systems (e.g. ECF / CLASS or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills and able to present confidently.
- Experience of driving performance, audit and TPA oversight.
- Confident dealing with MGA/TPA claims managers, proactive in identifying and driving continuous improvement in claims.
