Our client is seeking a SeniorBuyer to join their fun and vibrant team due to continued business growth; this role is based in Kidderminster.Benefits:

• Salary up to £40,000 to £50,000
• Hours of work - Monday to Friday - 8:00am -5:00pm
• 28 Days Holiday (Inclusive of Bank Holidays)
• Free onsite parking.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Resource and secure high-quality ingredients and products, in line with customer requirements.
• Monitor any changes to costs, and ensure all required teams are informed when required.
• Respond to cost enquiries to the Sales Team when required.
• Identify and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers.
• Monitor costs inline with your relevant budgets, while providing cost saving solutions.
• Monitors stock levels.
• Stay up to date with changes in the market and negotiate with suppliers for the best possible price.
• Input of purchase orders onto the database using SAGE 200.
• Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

• (Essential) Minimum 2 years' experience within purchasing
• (Essential) Experience within the Food Ingredients Industry is essential.
• (Training Available) Experience on SAGE 200 & ACT
• Good interpersonal skills - able to build and manage relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
• Able to fully understand customer needs and demands (e.g. price, quality, availability)
• Strong time management skills
• Works well in a team environment
