Senior Business Development Manager - Building Services / MEP?? London / Greater London (Hybrid & Field-Based)?? Permanent | Full-Time?? Up to £90,000 Basic + Commission / Bonus Structure

A leading building services contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth across its Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) division. With a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, and education sectors, this is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level professional to join a dynamic and growing team.

The Role:

As Senior BDM, you will play a key role in identifying and securing new project opportunities across London and the surrounding areas, while nurturing relationships with Tier 1 contractors, developers, consultants, and end clients. You’ll work closely with pre-construction and estimating teams to develop tailored bids and proposals, aligned with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the M&E contracting sector

  • Build and maintain relationships with main contractors, developers, and consultants

  • Lead on pipeline development and contribute to long-term strategic planning

  • Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and client meetings

  • Collaborate with pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover of secured projects

  • Deliver presentations, negotiate contracts, and maintain CRM and reporting tools

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior business development role within MEP/building services

  • Strong industry network across London and the South East

  • In-depth understanding of mechanical and electrical contracting and project cycles

  • Commercially astute, with experience in securing £multi-million contracts

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a track record of delivering growth
