Senior Broker - Power Renewables - Aon : Job Details

The role sits within our Global Broking Centre, which is the speciality broking business of Aon in the London international insurance market. This role involves renewal, new placement strategy, and execution for some of Aon’s largest power industry clients.

What the day will look like

• Client management and broking in servicing for a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale and retail basis, including both renewals and new business from initial enquiry through to the handing over of the placing slip to the processing/documentation team
• Provide full reviews of the risks proposed, preparation of underwriting presentations, and review of insurance produced by our documentation team
• Placement with insurers, including electronic trading
• Contribute to the growth of the portfolio
• Support and lead tenders
• Proactively manage market relationships and support our broking strategy.

The Natural Resources broking team places more than USD1.7bn of premium annually into the London insurance market and comprises brokers with a high level of experience and excellent reputation.

You will be at the forefront of supporting the growth of our team’s brand through servicing and prospecting clients, hosting client visits and driving the subsequent placement strategy in conjunction with our retail colleagues.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Proven power insurance/reinsurance experience
• Technical insurance knowledge of power renewables 
• Key carrier underwriter relationship
• Proven experience in managing effective client relationships
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Excellent understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
