Senior Authorised Person NPG - Matchtech : Job Details

Our client, a leading company in the power distribution and energy sector, is currently seeking a Senior Authorised Person (NPG) to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is integral to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency within power distribution networks up to 11kv, with a preference for experience up to 20kv.

• Overseeing and ensuring the safety of power distribution operations up to 11kv
• Carrying out duties as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) in accordance with DNO and NPG standards
• Executing switching operations, isolating and earthing high voltage equipment
• Authorising work on high voltage networks and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
• Mentoring and training junior staff in high voltage operational safety
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth operation of the power distribution system
• Maintaining detailed records of operations and adhering to regulatory requirements
• Troubleshooting and resolving high voltage network issues promptly and safely

• Experience as a Senior Authorised Person (CORE Authorised for NPG)
• Extensive knowledge of power distribution networks, specifically 11kv and ideally up to 20kv
• Proficiency with Distribution Network Operator (DNO) and Northern Powergrid (NPG) standards
• Strong understanding of high voltage safety and operational protocols
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Relevant qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
