Senior Auditor & Accountant - Reed : Job Details

Reed Practice are currently representing a Huddersfield based Chartered Accountants who are looking for a Qualified Senior Auditor & Accountant due to an increase in the amount of Audit work they are taking on. Duties:

• Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients. The work split will be approximately 50% audit work and 50% accounts
• Developing a strong working relationship with clients and maintaining regular communications
• Resolve technical issues with clients and colleagues
• Supervise staff at varying levels
• Take responsibility for the training and development of a growing team
• Planning and reviewing accounts files that are prepared by other team members
• Preparing year end accounts, management accounts and tax computations
• Prepare cashflow projections for clients
• Complete/review VAT returns
• Assist clients with accounts, Sage and Xero queries
• Managing the team’s workflow and job progress
• Generating sales invoices for completion of clients’ accounts
• Contributing to weekly team meetings and management team meetings
• Manage your own time and that of others
• Plan assignments effectively
• Driving projects forward and controlling implementation
• Be proactive with regards to business development
• Keep up-to-date on current business affairs
• Visit client offices as and when required

About you:

• 5 years of experience in practice
• ACCA or ACA qualified
• Focused and self-motivated
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Flexibility regarding additional hours around month end
• Clear communicator
