• Salary: £33,000k - £35,000k (DOE)
• Working Hours: 8:30am-5pm / Monday to Friday
• Work Type: Permanent

HRGO Recruitment are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our clients UK leading Metal Recycling and Waste Handling company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the company's day-to-day finance operations including supplier payments, bank reconciliations and cash management.

Our clients fourth-generation family run business has over 5 sites across the Sussex as well as Ashford and Kent. They are embarking on an exciting programme of expansion into new markets and activities to capitalise in the industry.

General Duties:

• Operate purchase order, purchase invoice, expenses, and payments processes
• Work closely with managers and colleagues to plan, monitor and report on performance against budgets
• Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, suppliers, partners, etc Record bank and cash transactions, help prepare regular reconciliations of cash and bank accounts.
• Assist with finance and audit queries.
• Manage and resolve supplier's queries
• Help manage movements between GBP and currency accounts
• Manage the processes for paying employees and company expenses
• Monitor sales invoices issued and analyse variances to budget
• Manage credit control and ensure prompt collection of amounts due from customers.

Role Requirements:

• Experience using Sage (or other financial software)
• Previous experience in same/similar role
• Confident using all Microsoft packages
• AAT Qualified (preferred but not required)
• Strong attention to detail and error correction
• Can work effectively under pressure and ability to meet deadlines
