Role Overview Perm or Contract to Perm

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Accountant to join their London-based finance team within the ETF funds space.

This role demands a strong technical accounting foundation and the ability to manage the full end-to-end accounting cycle — from daily transactional processing to preparing management accounts and supporting financial control activities.

The successful candidate will thrive in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment and demonstrate solid experience across intercompany accounting, payroll, VAT compliance, and financial systems, particularly NetSuite and Excel.

Key Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or Management Accountant position, ideally within financial services.
• Strong working knowledge of NetSuite ERP.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, modelling).
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Month-end close processes and management reporting
  • Payroll processing and payroll journal postings
  • Intercompany transactions, intercompany loans, and related journals
  • Multi-currency accounting
  • VAT rules, cross-border VAT treatments, and compliance
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations, expenses, and cost analysis
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
• Clear communication abilities and confidence working independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated sectors.
• Familiarity with UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Exposure to system enhancements, automation initiatives, or process improvement projects.
