Job Description :

Our client, a well-established and growing leading independent Chartered Accountants in the Midlands with offices across 6 locations, 10 partners and more than 100 employees, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join their team. They are a member firm of the ICAEW and a certified ACA and ACCA training partner. They have a very diverse portfolio of clients and offer much more than just accountancy services. They're experts in complex tax matters, they're auditors and provide a very broad range of business advice.

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing a quality service to a varied portfolio of clients. Working in a team of both experienced and training accountants the role will include:

  • Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole traders, Partnerships and Charities
  • Monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Completion of personal tax returns
  • Overseeing workflow and planning work
  • Holding review meetings with clients
  • Assisting with training and development of junior members of staff

Ideal candidate:

  • You will be ACA/ACCA qualified or nearly qualified or qualified by experience, with a background in accountancy practice and good technical knowledge
  • Experience using CCH and XERO desirable
