Senior Accountant

Salary – Up to £50,000 (DOE)

Role Summary

AJ Chambers are partnered with an independent firm of accountants in Sandy, in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their close-knit team.

The firm works with a diverse client base, ranging from sole traders to companies with turnovers up to £5-6 million, providing high-quality accounting, auditing and taxation services. They pride themselves on building strong client relationships and offering tailored, professional advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses, consultants and individuals.

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

• Mentor and support junior team members, reviewing work and encouraging professional growth.

• Contribute to practice management including budgeting, WIP tracking and billing.

• Support process improvement and the enhancement of client service delivery.

Desirable Experience

• ACCA qualified, finalist, or QBE with experience in general practice.

• Background in preparing accounts and tax returns for a range of clients.

• Audit experience not required.

• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication skills.

• Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
