We are seeking a Senior Accountant to take on the responsibility of producing and analysing month-end and annual management & financial accounts, along with all associated activities. This role includes line management of a team, providing oversight, mentoring, and coaching to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Oversee the month-end process, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, variance analysis, and cash flow.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of results, focusing on variance analysis compared to the budget and previous year, as well as Balance Sheet analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Manage a team of initially 3 direct reports and 1 indirect report, supporting and mentoring the team, managing workloads, and conducting annual appraisals.
  • Handle statutory reporting, including statutory accounts, annual returns, tax submissions, VAT (UK and other markets), etc.
  • Support the UK Financial Controller, EMEA Accountant, and EMEA Controller with ad-hoc tasks and analysis.
Secondary Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with audit requirements and liaise with other markets regarding intercompany recharges and resource allocation.
  • Engage in various tasks such as revenue analysis, bookings reporting, and assisting with the budget.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of ERP and financial consolidation systems, with NetSuite experience being advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational, numeracy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, as no two days will be the same.
  • A good sense of humour is always welcome.
Education Requirements:
  • O Level / GCSE Maths & English required.
  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or similar).
Experience Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience as a Part Qualified Accountant.
  • EMEA and/or Global experience.
  • Tax experience, conversant with tax rules and regulations in the UK, submission of tax returns, VAT rules & regulations when trading with other markets.
  • Experience in staff management, audit background, and additional languages would be an advantage.
Work Environment:
  • This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, splitting time between two offices and part at home.
