SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School in IslingtonFull-time | Term Time Only | £95-£100 per day (PAYE)

Are you an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term role in Islington? A friendly, one-form entry primary school in Islington is seeking a caring and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young children with Autism (ASD) and additional learning needs, while working in a warm and inclusive school community.

Position Overview

• Start date: September 2025

• Location: Islington Primary School

• Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 3:45pm

• Pay: £95 - £100 per day (PAYE)

• Contract: Long-term, term time only

Role Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils in Reception and Year 1 with Autism (ASD)

• Deliver targeted intervention sessions and assist with classroom activities

• Support with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and wellbeing

• Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored learning plans

• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all pupils

The Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant Will:

• Have proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism (ASD)

• Show patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting pupils' needs

• Be confident in promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

• Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a committed school team
