SEN Teaching Assistant – Westminster

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in schools across Westminster. About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the school's SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional or mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN
• Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning
• Encourage student participation and engagement
• Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with SEN (school, nursery, or care settings)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential
