SEN Teaching Assistant – Hammersmith
Location: Hammersmith, London
Job Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: £85 – £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025 or ASAP

A welcoming and inclusive school in Hammersmith is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide targeted support to children with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and differentiation
- Help implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs)
- Support pupils’ emotional well-being, behaviour and social development
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support student progress
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school or alternative setting
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine commitment to supporting the learning and development of pupils with additional needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or degree in education/psychology)
- Team Teach or similar behaviour management training
- Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs
