SEN Teacher:
Are you a SEN Teacher or a Teacher with a Zest for Special Needs?
As a SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience for our diverse student body. We are looking for a SEN Teacher with a love for fostering SEN children and supporting growth in and out the classroom.
Your responsibilities as a SEN Teacher:
- Deliver engaging lessons to students with SEND needs, ensuring their progress with a positive learning experience.
- Develop personalised learning plans and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students of a varied ability and learning styles.
- Nurture a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages mental wellbeing and academic progression.
- Utilise assessments effectively to monitor students' progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other members of the school community, including SENCOs, support staff, and parents/guardians, to create a support system for students.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to address challenging behaviours highlighting positive reward systems.
- Maintain accurate records of students' achievements, attendance, and behaviour, and provide reports as required.
Requirements of a SEN Teacher:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS).
- Ideally have experience working with students with SEND needs or in a similar SEN environment.
- A passion to teach and nurture SEND need children.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
