Full-Time | September Start | Mainstream Primary with Specialist SEND Unit

Are you a caring, patient, and committed individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary school in Whalley Range that is looking for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their highly regarded SEND unit this September.

Although the school is mainstream, the SEND unit is purpose-built, well-resourced, and staffed with an experienced team. Each child follows a tailored curriculum, and the atmosphere is calm, nurturing, and free from behavioural challenges.

• Support pupils with a range of learning needs in a small, well-structured setting

• Work 1:1 or with small groups under guidance from experienced SEN staff

• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment

• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to deliver personalised learning plans

• Experience supporting children with SEND (in school or similar settings)

• A warm, patient, and compassionate approach

• Full-time availability from September

• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

• Friendly, inclusive atmosphere

• Strong support from SLT and SEN team
