About the Role:

• Position: Full-time SEND Lecturer
• Location: College in Hull
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Until at least 25th May 2024 (with potential for extension)
• Salary: £120 - £180 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Possibility of Permanency: This vacant position offers potential for permanency for candidates who excel and enjoy the role.

Key Duties:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of SEND students.
• Provide individualized support and assistance to students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies involved in student support.

Requirements for the Role:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification or a PGCE in Lifelong Learning
• Experience working with SEND students in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of SEND educational needs and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements for Working with Tradewind:

• DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• CV with full career history.
• Valid right to work in the UK.
• At least 2 satisfactory references.
