Job Title: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)

Location: Eastbourne

Start Date: September

Contract: Temporary (until December, with potential to extend)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a supportive secondary school from September. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in shaping inclusive practice across the school. Initially offered until December, there is potential for the role to extend for the right candidate.

• Qualified SENCO (National Award for SEN Coordination or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory requirements
• Proven experience supporting students with a wide range of special educational needs
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals

• Leading and coordinating SEND provision across the school
• Monitoring EHCPs, learning plans, and interventions to ensure effective support is in place
• Supporting and guiding staff in delivering high-quality inclusive teaching
• Ensuring statutory requirements are met and all documentation is kept up to date
