Contract Type: Supply basis with potential for long-term placement

Experience Required: Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour

About the Role:

Reed Education is currently recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour in schools across Wrexham.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. The roles are supply-based, with the potential to transition into long-term placements for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement tailored learning strategies
• Provide 1:1 and small group support
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
• Assist with planning and delivering interventions (HLTAs)

Requirements:

• Proven experience working with children with SEN and challenging behaviour
• TA or HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A proactive and resilient approach
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Reed)
