Milk Education are recruiting for a compassionate and resilient SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Secondary School in Havering. What You’ll Be Doing in the RoleSupporting pupils with SEMH needs both in and outside of lessons
Promoting inclusion, acceptance, and emotional wellbeing across the school
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement
Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to adapt lessons and provide tailored support
Recent experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEMH or SEN setting
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships
Relevant qualification (Level 2/3 in Childcare, Teaching Assistant, Youth Work, or equivalent) or hands-on experience
Patience, resilience, and the ability to respond calmly to challenging behaviour
