SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Barking and DagenhamStart Date: September 2025Contract: Supply and long-term opportunitiesDaily Rate: £90-£100 (depending on experience)Year Groups: Nursery to Year 6

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for committed SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Barking and Dagenham. We have both day-to-day and long-term positions available, focusing on 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism

• Confident working 1:1 or in small groups (phonics or SATs support experience is a bonus)

• Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

• Patient, empathetic and proactive

• Strong communication and behaviour management skills

• Understanding of child development and experience with IEPs and EHCPs

Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

• Right to work in the UK

• Full employment history listed on your CV

• Two professional references from the last two years

• Overseas police check if applicable
