Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity this September?

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and nurturing team within a well-resourced SEN provision in a primary school in Wylde Green, Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children aged 4 to 12 years with a range of high and complex special educational needs (SEN).

The Role:

• Supporting students with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and challenging behaviours.
• Working closely with a class teacher and a team of Teaching Assistants in the school's dedicated SEN provision.
• Delivering 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning needs.
• Assisting in modifying and adapting learning content to suit varying abilities, under teacher guidance.
• Supporting students with their social, emotional, and educational development.
• Helping maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
• Previous experience working with children with complex SEN needs in a school setting.
• Confidence in supporting students across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to support.
