SEN Teaching Assistant | Tower Hamlets, E1 | £95-£105 | Long-term to perm | ASAP

LTF Recruitment are looking to find an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join the amazing team at a school in Tower Hamlets. We are looking to welcome someone who will be able to work with KS1 children and provide excellent tailored support to children with special educational needs. We are offering this role to someone who holds relevant experience and is willing to work specifically with KS1 pupils. This is a full-time opportunity, which will be made permanent for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to children with special educational needs, understanding every child's needs.
• Working within a team to ensure that the KS1 pupils are engaged during class interactions.
• Supervise children with SEN, and making sure that they are safe.
• Support pupils with their overall well-being by creating an inclusive environment and making sure that a good relationship is built with each child.
• Supporting the class teacher with anything they might need extra support with.
• Liaise with parents and carers, to allow them to see the progress of their child.
• Undertake any required administrative tasks.

Requirements:

• Successful experience within a similar school setting of working with KS1 children with SEN.
• Must have a genuine passion to want to help and be able to adapt to any situation.
• A relevant qualification like a Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• A valid DBS or willing to apply for a new DBS.
