Do you want to build your skills working with children and young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?This welcoming and vibrant primary school in Manchester (M40) is seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.Whether you’re hoping to progress into teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support, this role will give you the hands-on experience to get started.Your Role – Where You’ll Make a DifferenceAs a SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be more than just support—you’ll be empowering children to believe in themselves and achieve their potential.Your day-to-day may include:
- Supporting pupils with SEN such as ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and social/emotional challenges
- Working 1:1 or with small groups on targeted interventions
- Assisting teachers with personalised plans and learning activities
- Encouraging independence, communication, and emotional regulation
- Providing support with personal care or mobility where required
- Building strong, positive relationships that boost confidence
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and families to track progress
