SEN Teaching Assistant EYFS & KS2 - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with an Ofsted rated "Good" primary school in Widnes as they require a motivated and reliable teaching assistant to support the EYFS and KS2 classes. This is a long-term role consisting of mornings with the EYFS class and afternoons across Key Stage 2 classes.Your new roleIn your new role as a teaching assistant in this school, you will be supporting students with SEN across the EYFS and Key Stage 2 classes. Your mornings will consist of working in the EYFS class, supporting students with early onset SEN (undiagnosed) on a 1:1 and group basis with a focus on speech and language development. Your afternoons will include supporting the Key Stage classes with SEN support (ADD, ADHD and dyslexia) supporting students on a 1:1 basis across all KS2 year groups. Due to the nature of the role, you will regularly liaise with class teachers, SENCO, and parents/guardians on pupils' progress.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role you must have referenceable experience working with children and young people with SEN (special educational needs) in a voluntary or professional capacity, as well as:

• Experience working with ADD, ADHD and/or dyslexia
• The ability to effectively identify pupils triggers/shortfalls and manage accordingly
• The ability to make strong constructive relationships
