We are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) SEN (Special Educational Needs) school in Guildford. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting students with additional needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEMH needs, ensuring they receive the attention and care required to thrive academically and socially.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement tailored strategies for individual students, adapting to their unique learning styles and requirements.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages students to engage and participate.
- Support students in developing their social and emotional skills, contributing to their overall well-being and personal growth.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of personalized education plans, tracking progress and making adjustments as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is mandatory.
- Strong empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people and making a positive impact on their lives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- A collaborative team player who can work well with other professionals to deliver the best outcomes for students.
