Job Opportunity: PMLD SEN Teacher

Location: Hounslow, LondonPosition Type: Full-time, Temporary Start Date: April 2024Duration: Until the end of the school term with potential for extension Working Hours: 5 days a week, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join our lovely secondary SEN school in Hounslow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Requirements:- Valid QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)- Child and adult DBS clearance- Experience in education, particularly with ASD, PMLD, physical disabilities, and non-verbal students- Previous experience in SEN teaching at the secondary level is essential- Creativity in planning lessons and developing engaging activities tailored to the specific needs of the students- Proactive approach to understanding and meeting the individual needs of each child, fostering independence in their learning journey- Ability to provide positive support to students in various situations- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both with adults and children- Capability to lead the class, manage reports, and supervise other staff members effectively

Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver effective lessons and activities that cater to the diverse needs of the students- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential- Develop personalized strategies to promote independence and progress in learning- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to student development and support- Manage and supervise other staff members within the classroom setting- Maintain accurate records and complete necessary reports as required by school policies
