SEN Teaching Assistant – Chester

Location: Primary and SEN Schools across Chester
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in inclusive and specialist settings across Chester from September.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional needs
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Support pupils in both classroom and one-to-one settings
- Promote independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN (school-based or other relevant settings)
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
