Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (Including SEN Support )Location: Kings Norton, BirminghamStart Date: SeptemberAre you passionate about making a difference in children's lives?We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our warm and inclusive primary school in Kings Norton. This role includes supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly through our Aspire provision, which offers tailored learning support for pupils who require additional guidance.About the RoleAs a TA, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils both in the classroom and in smaller group settings. A significant part of this position will involve working with pupils who have a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Our Aspire provision is specifically designed to help these pupils thrive in a nurturing, structured environment.Key Responsibilities:Supporting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroomProviding 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SENImplementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plansHelping to manage behaviour positively and effectivelyAssisting pupils with personal care, if requiredEncouraging positive interaction and engagement in learning activitiesWorking closely with the SENDCo, Aspire team and external professionalsWe Are Looking For Someone Who:Has experience working with children in a primary school setting (essential)Has knowledge and/or experience of working with children with SENIs patient, resilient, and nurturingCan work effectively as part of a team and independentlyHas excellent communication skillsIs committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenWe Offer:A supportive, welcoming staff teamA well-resourced school with a commitment to inclusive educationOngoing professional development and training opportunitiesA chance to make a real impact in children's livesHow to Apply:Please send your completed application form and a covering letter .
