SEN Sports Coach - SEMH - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

We are working with an SEN school who are looking for a Sports Coach to support their PE curriculum during the next school year. Please find the details below:

• The school caters for pupils with SEMH from Primary through to Secondary and operates on different sites for the various key stages
• The role would be to start in September and run through till the end of the academic year
• The person concerned will be working with pupils with social, emotional and mental health challenges
• Depending on their area of sports coaching strengths they will be reporting into the PE lead of the school and delivering tailored sessions to various groups of pupils during the academic year
• The role will be on a temporary term time only time sheet basis and potentially could offer full time as well as part time working hours for the role
• Experience of working with children with SEMH is important and experience of Team Teach or an understanding of this or other de-escalation techniques is desirable
• The school will provide Team Teach training as part of their ongoing support
• Pay will be according to the person's qualifications and experience in line with MPS or the unqualified teaching scale
