SEN Learning Support Assistant

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental progress of children with SEN.

Your responsibilities:

• Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individualised learning plans
• Providing one-to-one support to students with specific needs
• Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborating with other staff members and professionals to ensure the holistic well-being of each child
• Supporting students with activities of daily living and learning
• Assisting specialist teachers and education teams to ensure learners have a consistent approach to their education

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN or in a care setting supporting children - desirable
• A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and resilience in handling challenging situations
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs
• Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training as required
