SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Year 4, ASD)Islington | Welcoming & Supportive School | Through Tradewind Education

Tradewind Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 4 with Autism (ASD).

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and parents, following the child's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to ensure consistent progress both academically and socially.

• Providing tailored 1:1 support for a child with ASD

• Following EHCP targets and adapting learning materials

• Supporting classroom routines and transitions

• Working collaboratively with staff and parents to monitor progress

• Promoting independence and confidence in learning

• A warm, welcoming, and inclusive primary school in Islington

• Strong commitment to staff development and training

• Supportive leadership and SEND team

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a UK primary school (essential)

• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

• A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
