Are you an outstanding, dynamic individual with a passion for making a difference? An Outstanding Special School is seeking a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dedicated team. As an HLTA, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils with SEND.

  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and social development.

  • Help manage behaviour and implement strategies to support students’ emotional regulation.

  • Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.

  • Support students during activities, outings, and therapy sessions.

  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEND.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

  • Patience, resilience, and enthusiasm for supporting students’ learning and development.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Enhanced DBS check required.
