Job Description :

Step Teachers are currently working closely with a 'GOOD' Ofsted-rated primary school in Walthamstow in search of a SEN Class Teacher. This wonderful primary school is dedicated to supporting and guiding each individual, ensuring that they reach their full potential. This SEN Class Teacher role starts ASAP and will run until the end of the academic year with the opportunity of a permanent contract for the right candidate.

This SEN Class Teacher should be passionate and ready to engage with their students, contributing to the school's polite, friendly and safe educational atmosphere.

SEN Class Teacher Role:

  • Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
  • Preparing and setting up activities, ensuring that resources are available and used appropriately.
  • Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.

SEN Class Teacher Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have recent experience as an SEN Nursery Teacher.
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
