Looking for a Semi Senior Accountant role in a friendly, independent practice where you’ll gain broad experience and real progression opportunities? This could be the role for you.

We’re working with a well-established independent practice. They have a varied client base across property, science, manufacturing and sports-related businesses, ranging from £4m to £50m turnover.

The opportunity:

You’ll prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for a portfolio of mainly incorporated businesses, alongside some partnerships and sole traders. With only a handful of audit clients, the focus here is accounts and tax — giving you solid exposure across different sectors in a supportive, down-to-earth team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Drafting corporation tax returns
• Working across a diverse range of clients from multiple industries
• Supporting senior staff and Partners with client queries
• Building technical knowledge while progressing through your studies

What we’re looking for:

• AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified
• Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Solid grounding in statutory accounts preparation
• Basic knowledge of corporate tax (desirable)
• Organised, proactive and willing to learn
• A good communicator who enjoys working in a small, collaborative team
