SEMH TA - Colmore Education Recruitment : Job Details

Colmore Education are working with an SEMH primary/secondary boys’ school in Stechford who are recruiting for Teaching Assistants. You will be supporting the class teacher and helping the students 1:1 or in groups.

Key responsibilities:

• To work with the class teacher
• To support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• To support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
• Have a calm and caring nature
• Have a good understanding of the needs of children

The successful candidate must have:

• At last, 6 months experience in a school
• Have worked in a setting with students with challenging behaviour
• A good understanding of how to support students
• Good communication skills
• Be able to manage behaviour well
• Have the right qualifications
